Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Unidbox Hardware Pte Ltd ("Unidbox", "we", "us") collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal data when you use unidbox.com, shop in our stores, or use our delivery and installation services. We handle personal data in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

1. What we collect

  • Account details — your name, email address, mobile number and password.
  • Order details — what you bought, delivery and billing addresses, and your order history.
  • Delivery and installation details — the address, access instructions and appointment times needed to complete a job.
  • Payment details — handled by our payment providers. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and a reference; we do not store your full card number.
  • Loyalty data — points earned and redeemed through the UnidPlus programme, linked to your member account.
  • Business customer details — company name, UEN, GST number and contact people, where you register as a corporate customer.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed and similar information collected through cookies.

2. Why we use it

  • To take, fulfil, deliver and install your orders.
  • To manage your account, and to let you sign in with your email address or mobile number.
  • To operate the UnidPlus loyalty programme and award points on your purchases.
  • To provide customer service, handle exchanges and answer enquiries.
  • To meet accounting, tax and other legal obligations.
  • To send you marketing about our products and promotions, where you have consented. You can withdraw consent at any time — see section 6.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed to run our business:

  • Within the UnidPlus ecosystem — your member identity and loyalty balance are held centrally so that your account works consistently across our website, our app and our stores.
  • Delivery and installation partners — the contact and address details required to complete your job.
  • Payment providers — to process your payment.
  • Service providers — hosting, email and IT support, bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Authorities — where we are required to by law.

4. How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as it serves the purpose it was collected for, or as long as the law requires. Transaction records are retained to meet accounting and tax obligations. When data is no longer needed for any legal or business purpose, we delete or anonymise it.

5. Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your cart and understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site — signing in and checking out in particular — will not work without them.

6. Your rights

Under the PDPA you may:

  • ask what personal data we hold about you and how it has been used;
  • ask us to correct anything inaccurate;
  • withdraw your consent to marketing, or to any other use of your data.

Some of this you can do yourself from your account page. Otherwise contact us using the details below. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide certain services, and we will tell you if that is the case.

7. Keeping your data safe

We use reasonable security measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

Our services are intended for customers aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
